Many times our “food pantry” is mistakenly called a “food bank”. Did you know there is a difference? A food bank is the storehouse for millions of pounds of food and other products that go out to the community to food programs, like a food pantry. As a food pantry, we receive shipments of food from the Northern Indiana Food Bank to distribute to our community members. We are also able to purchase specific food items from the Food Bank at a lower cost than we can purchase them from a grocery store. Our food pantry also relies on the generosity of food drives that churches, businesses, schools and other concerned citizens hold on our behalf. We appreciate everyone who helps us feed those who are hungry in Elkhart!

Donate food

As the largest client choice food pantry in Elkhart County, we serve an average of 1,400 families a month, which equates to approximately 5,000 people. We have current need for culturally appropriate Hispanic food. Want to donate food?

Donation Hours: Monday – Friday: 8 AM-Noon, 12:30 PM-3 PM at the yellow door of the food pantry building.

If you cannot drop off your donation during operational hours, please call to make an appointment and someone will be here to accommodate your generosity.
