Help us create this beautiful space for educating our teens and community!
This strategic upgrade provides a flexible multi-purpose facility at the center of our campus to expand and optimize Seed to Feed’s “Teen Grower” internship to impact many more local youth and young adults! This initiative will not only intensively train and mentor more youth in sustainable agriculture and marketable landscaping practices—teens will learn to step up, care and take initiative fighting hunger locally—responding to food scarcity and the urgent needs of hungry families! In “Teen Growers” young adults “get their hands dirty” preparing the soil, planting seeds, watering and fertilizing, even weeding on hands and knees in the hot sun—whew! It takes hard work and discipline to responsibly plant, care for and harvest fresh vegetables & fruits in our community gardens and greenhouses! Yet the transformation that takes place, the character and leadership development, while learning to give back, serve unselfishly, and love the community we love—is priceless!
Increase our dry storage space so we can continue to feed the hungry of Elkhart County!
Additionally, just as Church Community Services helps revitalize so many people’s lives and homes, the Impact Center will offer a large multi-purpose meeting space—to welcome, train and mobilize volunteers, in addition to adding classrooms, staff offices, critical food storage and equipment space—to carry out our vital mission implementing our vital programs with people.
